The Internet Is Being Rebuilt for Machines: AWS Updates OpenSearch Serverless

Colleagues, a note from the AI space: AWS has released a new OpenSearch Serverless version tailored for agent workloads.
Agents generate abrupt request spikes — hundreds of data and API calls per second. AWS decoupled compute from storage: compute scales within seconds and can scale to zero, incurring $0 cost when idle. At launch, it integrates with Vercel and Kiro; Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft and Cloudflare are making comparable moves.
Why this matters: architectures and cost models are shifting — deploying agents becomes simpler and more economical.
How are you preparing your infrastructure for increasing machine traffic?
