OpenAI — New phase of Education for Countries: Singapore joins

Friends, I want to share news from the OpenAI ecosystem: at the Education World Forum a new phase of the Education for Countries programme was announced — Singapore has joined.

- Three priorities: research deployments (Learning Outcomes Measurement Suite), localization of tools (ChatGPT Edu, Codex, API) and teacher training.
- Outcomes of the first cohort: Estonia — ChatGPT Edu in schools (~20,000 students, 4,600 teachers); Jordan, Kazakhstan and Slovakia demonstrate scaled implementations and productivity gains.
- In Singapore the focus is on personalised learning and teacher development through local programmes.

Why this matters: research, localization and teacher preparation create an opportunity for the responsible scaling of AI in education.
