Codex in ChatGPT Mobile — Manage Tasks by Phone

Colleagues, I'm pleased to share: Codex is now available in the ChatGPT mobile app within the OpenAI ecosystem.

OpenAI has released a preview: from your phone you can connect to machines where Codex executes tasks and view live thread statuses, screenshots, terminal output, tests, and diffs.

What matters in practice:
- Approve commands, redirect workflows, or spawn new threads directly from your phone.
- A secure relay and Remote SSH support enable work with managed remote environments.
- For teams: hooks, programmatic tokens, and Enterprise HIPAA support for on-premises/local environments.

Why it matters: reduces downtime, accelerates decision-making, and preserves continuity for long-running tasks.
