How MIT Makes AI Strategically Savvy: Advances in Game Theory and Algorithms

Friends, I’d like to share an AI update: MIT published a piece on methods that enhance machines’ strategic thinking.
I noticed Gabriele Farina and team combine game theory, ML and optimization to find robust strategies for multiplayer, imperfect-information tasks.
Key ideas: new algorithms solve complex scenarios more cheaply — including gaining an edge in Stratego; approaches also model negotiation, bluffing and compromise (e.g., the Cicero project).
Why it matters: these methods make AI more reliable in tasks requiring strategic decisions and human interaction.
Which sectors do you think will benefit first from such methods?
